I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember, and always cared about making a difference. Those two desires came together as I started my career working with nonprofits in the Southeast in 2013. I love diving deep into the impact that organizations are seeking to make in their communities and distilling complex and multi-faceted programs into language that foundations, governments, and the public can connect with and get excited about funding. With a passion for persuasive writing, I have extensive experience creating grant, marketing, and fundraising proposals that bridge the social impact that foundations want to invest in with capacity and experience of talented nonprofits.

Working with diverse communities, from women in rural areas returning from the criminal justice system, to youth experiencing food apartheid, first generation college students, and healthcare providers in a rapidly shifting culture of philanthropy, I’ve had to strategically plan and pursue funding relationships that ensure nonprofits have the means to accomplish their goals, and manage the annual strategy to anticipate future areas of growth.
